Winners screw the cheerleaders, losers blame the refs...

Or so someone told me. I never got to screw a cheerleader... I guess I'm a loser.

Woke up and am still mad about this game.

#1 seed? Gone.

Bye week? Gone

Fewer games to SB? Gone

HFA? Gone

Road to SB? Infinitely harder

All because of some bullshit, one sided officiating.

What a ****ing joke.

Rigged? who knows. Influenced by refs when it shouldn't be? Absolutely. It's the old saying in sports, let the players on the field determine who wins. If it's not influenced intentionally, then the league needs to tell the refs to quit calling stuff that doesn't matter, and they need to allow the "eye in the sky" to overrule calls on the field on all penalties called or uncalled. Of course, that will never happen due to time restraints.

Having said all that, I said right before the 3rd and 27 play, "I don't care if they get 20 yards here, double team both widouts and play a mid depth dime package" and they blitzed. Now, maybe they break up the pass and then the refs screw the CHiefs on the next drive. We will never know.

I bet we're laughing about this in a month when the Bengals and Titans are eliminated and we're hosting the AFCCG.

Even if the Chiefs followed your plan on the 3rd and 27 play and stopped them short you know a flag would have been thrown to give the Bengals a first down. They had all the bases covered by the zebras. We'll get our revenge in 3 weeks when the Bengals come to Arrowhead for the rematch!

Besides... You guys (The Chiefs) are still a MASSIVELY TALENTED TEAM who would probably beat the Bengals +50% of the time.
If they played 10 times on a neutral field... I'd say the Chiefs win 6 or 7 times.

Quit you're damn whining... you're still going to the playoffs, and will probably go far.
It's like 4 people who think the NFL is rigged and have thought that way for years, calm your tits. Or more likely, run back to the Bengals Board, which won't even allow Chiefs fans to post, and tell them "everyone over here is crying rigged".

It was a great game. Tons of offense, Mahomes looked great, the Chiefs' run game looked great, got some good pressure on Burrow at times.... Burrow looked great, his wide outs are freakin legit, Bengals D almost had Mahomes picked a couple times.

All the pregame talk was about how the Bengals' schedule didn't really prove much and they proved something yesterday... and it came down to what really could have been a fantastic two minutes, win or lose, that was completely botched by the refs..... and that was a damn shame.

Hope they meet again in the playoffs, it would be a lot of fun.

I don't disagree but I doubt they would've overturned it....remember when PI was reviewable and they flat refused to overturn anything because the refs were bitter about it?

It originally came up while talking about a couple of other (non-mod) badge/icon ideas that you'll see around, and Bug had created that one as an avatar a while back.

We were playing around with it one night and I personally really like this one...

Why does this matter? You won't be convinced otherwise anyway.

But good question, maybe more people would then see how 'truly' rigged the game is, or like you say they plain suck, hmm bad product on the field = ?

The level of riggery in this one was without any decent restraint, totally beyond
the pale of any acceptable behaviour on the part of the refs.

That's probably true in the sense that you can make up a halfway convincing conspiracy in hindsight for pretty much anything in sports.

Browns and Lions fans are so loyal, they don't need a winning team, and they need the Patriots to be great because of larger market share and rivalries and things.

Boom, change_my_mind.jpg.

Had the calls gone the Chiefs' way yesterday, the NFL would clearly have wanted Mahomes in the driver's seat while the Bengals can still win their division, setting up a rematch at Arrowhead. Boom, conspiracy.

So what you’re saying is that the Chiefs organization is complicit (at the very least after the fact) in rigging games. But “Go, Chiefs!”

Okay. It’s your time, your dollar and your emotional well-being. Spend them however you choose.

But if you know all this shit to be true, it seems to me that you should just stop bitching about a feature of the game and the team you care so much about. It’s not good for you and it will make no difference.
