Cowboys will release Amari Cooper

Damn. Would be amazing if this guy wants to chill with Mahomes for a year and build his reputation.

WR1: Tyreek, WR2: Cooper, Hardman moves permanently to the slot and of course Kelce is de facto WR1A.

Sounds good.

This is finally the year Kelce will have a decline. He's still going to be good, but you have to be ready for it. Another reason why you need a WR2 to help him out.

Amari Cooper might be the most over rated WR in the league right now.

A title previously held by Smith-Schuster.

ya he's still good though. I'd take a cheaper Cole Beasley over him though, didn't they say he's open to seek a trade? What's his contract?

We arent paying $20+ mil to a WR2 when Tyreek and Kelce are both paid top 5 money for their respective positions. It just is not happening. You can still address WR2 with authority but it needs to be in that $8-12 million per year range MAXIMUM or a trade up in the first round of draft for one of those elite receivers.

He runs crisp routes, has good deep speed and is physical.

Juju never was anything but an average possession WR.

I'm still going say Hardman is going make a case for himself to be #2 during TC and preseason. I'm not saying he will win the job but will make it difficult for coaches decision to make and that's a good thing.

I said he was going step it up in the playoffs and he did and was open in the AFCCG. Not Mecole fault that Mahomes decided drink a RT 44 slushy at half time and get a brain freeze.

Hardman would still be good in the slot if a guy is better and beats him out for #2 more power to him. Hardman isn't as bad as he is made out to be. Big thing for Hardman is consistency but he has made some incredible and clutch plays for us.

Mecole Hardman is hot diarrhea. If it weren't for his speed, I'm not sure he's even in the league.

If he was all that, he'd have shown it by now. He's going into a contract year desperate to prove he's not a hot turd.

There's no way he ends up as wr2 and I'd bet that the front office attacks that position aggressively because Veach knows that Hardman is about as successful as reerun trying to **** a doorknob most days.

He's been the guy that Mahomes cannot hide his frustration with.

That's not wr2 behavior.

I've never seen any "dog" in Cooper. He kinda seems like....well....a $76 million rich guy. Never been that impressed, and certainly not for $20 million-ish per. I'm tired of having "entitled" guys on this team (can you say Frank Clark or HB?). We need guys who want to get down and dirty; and in my mind, that certainly isn't Cooper.

And what's with all the crap with Mecole? Yeah, he's not the Second Coming, but he's far from trash. I noticed that someone noted that he'd be nothing without his speed. Duh. Patrick wouldn't be so highly rated without his arm either. I think Mecole's main problem is maturity. If the kid settles down and decides to dedicate himself to being an NFL wide receiver, watch out. That kind of speed....kills. That said, I'm ready to see him take this next step. We'll see if he mans up or not.

Lastly, I don't want Cooper....ever.*

* I reserve the right to change my mind if we somehow sign him.

Cowboys are going to try to trade Cooper but who would take his $20 million contract plus they announced they would release Cooper so why trade when teams can pick up Cooper in free agency without giving up draft picks? Cowboys are stupid
