This argument is futile. It's been done over and over and nothing ever changes.

The Adams trade along with their options (Jets/Dolphins) made anything more than they got virtually impossible. This idea that they can just wait it out and get more is nonsensical and would’ve only created drama anyways.

"He's one of the biggest reasons Patrick flourished."

"We only need him for the stretch and playoffs."

It's pretty easy to see the problem with getting those two opinions to actually work TOGETHER.

And no I don't expect us to suck on offense but I do expect it to be harder. Basically we'll go to being a good to very good offense when we've been a "holy shit they scare the shit out of me" offense before.
Because we have to pay our new LT who we were forced to get bc of Fisher’s injury.

What the hell do you expect us to do to replace these players? Chris Jones, Tyreek Hill, Travis Kelce, Frank Clark. All those guys are about to leave their prime soon. They will all need to be replaced.

How do you think we’re replacing them? With 1 pick in the top 55 every year? Have you seen how much these JAG FA’s like Zay Jones and Christian Kirk are getting? We can’t pay for good replacements in FA for all these guys.

At some point the buck stops and dues need to be paid. Draft picks are the way out of this when you have a QB contract. Look around dude. Every team paying a QB has made moves like this.

That’s the only way to get better

It’s fine because he would’ve been back for the playoffs!

Never mind the fact that he can come back, tear his ACL, and then you’re completely ****ed.

Bullshit. They shipped him off too early for a lacklustre return because it was easier. Let the situation get uncomfortable if you have to to maximize the return. That's what the Jets and Jaguars did with Adams and Ramsey. They could've shipped them off ASAP to the highest bidder and maybe gotten a shitty little package of a late first and some turds, but they stood their ground and said **** yourselves to all parties involved unless we get a return that satisfies us.

And the Chiefs would have a trash defense with no Tyreek Hill in an all-in year.

Brilliant!

So you're fine with Tyreek eating up $21M in cap space to hold out?

The latter. I wish I could go back on overthecap to see what we spent on the defensive side of the ball last year but currently we are spending $75 million and $42 million of it is on 2 players (take a guess who)

Yeah because that's what the Chiefs were going to do with a player that everyone loved. **** the relationship and MAYBE get a 1st round pick in the 2023 draft that's higher by 8-9 picks.

Yeah, it's actually really easy to have it both ways. They're probably a mediocre .500 team without him. They're a Super Bowl contender with him. Really wasn't hard to explain at all.
