I was interested in seeing DE Jerry Hughes new contract with the Texans. Since Chiefs have a UFA tag of $4.4 M for DE Melvin Ingram but he is still free to sign elsewhere. It was initially reported that Hughes was getting 2 years, $10 M. If you actually look at the contract though, it is a little more than what Ingram's contract would be with KC.

2022 $2,000,000 Base, $1,250,000 Bonus, $500K per game bonus, $3,750,000 cap
2023 $4,000,000 Base, $1,250,000 Bonus, $1 M per game bonus, $6,250,000 cap
If cut 2023 team saves $5 M with $1,250,000 of dead money.
