Maybe our DL is a lot better than we thought

From last week:

Now this week I saw this screen shot with a little under 5 mins left in the game.

39 drop backs
2 sacks
3 QB hits
6 hurries

Updated after the game ESPN app shows we have EIGHT QB hits. Damn our pressure seems a lot better this year. It’s mainly bc Karlaftis and Dunlap are way better than what Frank and Okafor gave us last year, Frank has been better and Mike ****ing Danna has played real well. What a surprise that man has been for us.

I think the Cardinals suck and the chargers O line (or team for that matter) can't stay healthy.

We're probably not as good as we've looked the last 2 weeks...

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

They generated pressure against Herbert before the injuries to their line. They’re better this year than they have been. Karlaftis is just waiting to bust out. He’s always around the ball.

We still have Dunlap waiting in the wings. The cap situation dictates we can't pick up his $17M cap money.

I’ll have to look but I remember a tweet showing we blitz less than half the time. I think Matt Verderame had us at around 16th in blitz rate

Their DL looks very, very deep, at least at DE.

Not too disappointed in the D thus far. Even in the Colts game they gave up 13 points. You cannot hang the first TD on them when you give a team the ball inside their own 5.

Even so, if you take away the Jones said mean things penalty, then it's down to 6 points they allowed.

Not too shabby....

More times than not, it sure seems that way. It's like Spags always starts off very vanilla either to see what the other team is going to do or to see how much we really need to dial it up or maybe both....
