Just got done watching some highlights of Burns and one was his top 5 highlights of I think last year. 100% am against trading a first and giving him a big contract. The guy is fast sure, but he is not beating OL and 4 of his 5 sacks he wasn't even touched. I watched a couple more videos and most of his highlights seem to be missed assignments. No thank you.

2021 - 10th WR in yards (1,157), 13th WR in YAC - QB S. Darnold

2019 - 8th WR in yards (1,175), 8th WR in YAC - QB K. Allen
2018 (rookie year) - 31st WR in yards (788), 13th WR in YAC - QB C. Newton

with a 6'0" 210 frame, 4.42 40, 6.95 3-cone, and 39.5" vertical.

The dude has been productive with shit for a QB, shit for targets around him, and a mostly broken Christian McCaffrey as the only other viable weapon to worry about when he has been healthy.

but yeah... he's definitely only top 30...

I mean, if the Chiefs somehow got Burns you’re looking at a guy who would literally take the defense to a whole other level. Burns, Karlaftis, Dunlap & Clark is a pretty outstanding group of edge rushers. Combined with Jones, Saunders and Nnadi inside, that’s a legit championship caliber defensive line.

It would probably take a 1st and more, so I just can’t see how it happens. If the Chiefs think they’re one elite pass rusher away from a Super Bowl, they might do it. This is the kind of guy who’s actually worth trading a 1st rounder for. This Bills game will be a great measuring stick to see where we’re really at on defense.

Will it though? If we struggle and you are Veach, how do you even evaluate it? No Gay, McDuffie, Fenton, and Cook. That's almost 30% of the starting defense. I think if we are pulling the trigger it's from the entire season, not just this game. Although I guess you can judge the pass rush.

Exactly. This game means nothing in evaluating the defense - half of it is out.

And Burns - Jones - Saunders - Karlaftis is still the 3rd best DL in the AFCW.

Get Moore. Steer into the skid and out score 'em.

Ok, I guess I didn't realize how good he was.

I'd take him, but definitely not Burns. Just something about his highlights don't do it for me. His sacks seemed too easy.
