They are explosive in different ways. Hardman isn’t as shifty as Toney but man his acceleration is off the charts. That makes him an especially dangerous option going into motion and on jet sweeps. And it still makes him a home run option. Ideally they can relegate him to a role where they just use him in spots because he doesn’t do much otherwise. Although the inconsistency of Mvs makes me wonder if he’s any better than hardman as our deep option.

I still like Toney better for the quick hitches because he’s way more maneuverable in short spaces which is what we’ve desperately needed vs teams like cincy
