Mecole Hardman

It seems like the offense has been a lot less dynamic without Hardman. He might be the spark needed going into the playoffs.

I know the accepted narrative here is one that treats Hardman as some sort of JAG. But I really like his freakish athleticism, his playmaking ability, and his unselfishness. He’s still really young and has acted like a kid at times, but I’ve got this nagging feeling that if the light ever comes on he’s gonna be special.

He’s made some really great plays and I love the way he runs in traffic. He doesn’t shift gears. It’s like he’s in variable glide mode.

If the guy has a sports hernia, it’s far more important for that to completely heal than to get practice running jet sweeps in a live game.

We have the top passing offense in the NFL and a QB that will almost assuredly break league offensive records the next 2 weeks. On top of that, we have a Lamborghini WR that’s just getting healthy, a possible steal of a WR that should be fully healthy this offseason, a developing WR that sone thought could go in the first round and MVS is returning.

And someone wants to spend elite resources to add a WR to that group over a LT or DE with similar resources?

We don’t have a number 1 receiver and Hardman and juju are both free agents. I would definitely look at wide receivers high in the draft.

On what planet were the chiefs not serious about receiver? We paid Tyreek $22m, paid mvs $10m per year AND added juju on top of using a top pick on skyy Moore.
Paying Tyreek. Sure

Pay a high end 2 like that? No chance

Then our coaches have shit for brains.

The reality is that Andy gets far too bored with conventional line up and cram the ball down their throat while Trey Smith takes someone's soul to actually call this. Andy is the best run defender on the opposing defense.

No, we need to burn a ****ing timeout, call some double reverse fake fleaflicker reeruned shit that does nothing but waste a down and possibly loses yards.

We are TREMENDOUSLY SHIT at 3rd and 1. Not just redzone, bit anywhere on the field. Andy and Co simply cannot fathom how to move the football one yard, while being the best in football at 3rd and forever.

Mecole Hardman isn't some savior riding in like a knight in shining armor to save the offense.

The guy has had nearly a half decade for the light to come on, and it's flickering at best.

Mahomes+Best 52 is what puts you in the SB hunt every season for the next 10-15 years. This is the way.

Do not overpay anywhere. We are not 'ONE GUY AWAY' ever. We are right there, with as good of a shot as anyone anytime we line up with #15. If KC shows up focused and on it, nobody beats them. They do occasionally just beat themselves, but it must be a herculean task to be laser focused at all times, 20 games a season, year in and year out.

Draft well. Spend carefully in free agency. Do not mortgage your future at any time. Mahomes+Best 52,
Well tell that to the people who want to give huge contracts to both lines. Do you realize how expensive that is? They want an all world OL. And 3 studs on the DL. And a top 5 defense. With an explosive offense you need those things less and less, and I think people are way too complacent with how we've looked the second half of the season. We've been just efficient enough on offense. I like where we are heading but without a shadow of a doubt our WRs have struggled the second half of the season.

Me? I don't want to design this offense around Alex Smith. Where more and more and more of our offense centers around our non-kelce TEs and Rbs in the screen game. That is taking away mahomes, not supporting him

And people seem strangely reactive to paying one WR big money... But sure let's pay juju WR1 money to not be a WR1. And mvs $10m to disappear 90% of the time. And extend hardman. And despite what everyone is selling we don't have to pay obscene money to get that WR1.
