Bills/ Bengals [cancelled - process in OP]

In case anyone needs it spelled out, we would play at a neutral site if the AFCCG ends up being Chiefs vs. Bills. All other scenarios abide by the usual rules (so any other game the Chiefs play will be at home).

Yeah hoping they help players with probability in terms of other highly unusual events we are exposed to every day and players can relate to so they understand that at least in terms of that particular injury, the odds are extremely low

But said player being revived, stabilized, and now improving means the game should have been resumed tonight... That's the issue.

I bet the NFL has their plan for this by Friday. They aren’t gonna let any games on Saturday or Sunday happen without knowledge of what the seeding would be based up the events on Monday

I'm curious

Have any of you seen someone need to have CPR and an AED used on them like that or in that situation?

No contest is fine. Both teams jointly decided to quit that game.

People say that a team is going to get "screwed" by this one way or another, but I still honestly don't understand how that's truly the case. Yes, calling the game NC takes away the possibility of a loss, but it also takes away the possibility of a win.

The Ravens were already behind the Bengals with TWO additional losses. The only way they could win the division is with a Bengals loss AND beating them H2H next week. So sure, it takes away the CHANCE, but it was a long shot in the first place.

Very unlikely anyone actually gets screwed.

Can they not just settle this gladiator style?

Josh Allen has to battle a Bengal Tiger
Joe Burrow has to battle a Buffalo

Both QBs get a butter knife.

I thought the typical protocol was to initiate CPR until the AED was deployed? Also, I’ll bet they had to use the AED twice, which may have led to his uncle’s confusion.

It is.

It's not like on TV. It's....uh not something I'd want to see to be honest.

From a football standpoint and nothing further, teams in Bengals place in the future should simply state: “we’re ready to resume play whenever our opponent is ready”.

That might force the league into a forfeit for the opponent.

If the Bengals had made it clear they were ready to play whenever (remember Burrow was warming up and ready to go), it would be REALLY hard to call it a no contest.
