Bills/ Bengals [cancelled - process in OP]

In case anyone needs it spelled out, we would play at a neutral site if the AFCCG ends up being Chiefs vs. Bills. All other scenarios abide by the usual rules (so any other game the Chiefs play will be at home).

Breaking News: Of course the game is secondary to #DamarHamlin’s health, but #Bills insider @viccarucci just reported on @wgrz Daybreak that NFL commissioner Roger Goodell will make the call on rescheduling the Bills/Bengals game and it would have to be played within 2 days.

After speaking with both teams and NFLPA leadership, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell informed the clubs today that the Bills-Bengals game will not be resumed this week.

The NFL has made no decision regarding the possible resumption of the game at a later date.

You are laboring under the idea that game should have been played. It was never going to get played. My POV comes from accepting that as reality which it clearly is. From there you have to go on and figure it out...the likely solution is not perfect but favors the Chiefs more than the Bills and way more than the Bengals.

So people shouldn't point out the utter absurdity of a billion dollar league changing its playoff rules a week before the playoffs to help one team just because the Chiefs made out better than two other teams?

I’m not gonna be mad if that’s how it’s decided.

If Buffalo finishes that game and gets a win, we need to play 3 playoff games to make it to the superbowl.

Now, we only need to win a home game and a neutral location game to make it to the Super Bowl as long as we take care of business in Vegas Saturday.

If a game doesn't get played, there are rules that the league has set out for how to deal with it. The league should have followed them in this case and there is no good reason it had for not doing so. The fact that the NFL didn't is a massive red flag and a sign of clear bias in favor of one team.

It is my hope that a group of owners call the league out on its bullshit and don't allow this to become a precedent.

The team with top record in the AFC should host the game. If that’s the Bills then so be it. Although some don’t seem to want to acknowledge it, they’re is a set of rules for this and instead of following them we are potentially taking away one of the key advantages of having the best record. That goes for the Bills and Bengals as much as the Chiefs.

Before...BUF gets 1 seed if they win out.
After - BUF gets 1 seed only if KC loses.

Before - KC gets 1 seed if BUF loses AND they beat the Raiders
After - KC simply has to beat the Raiders.

If there is favortism here it is toward KC. I don't actually think there is favortism I think they did the best they could with a bad situation but trying to use the same language as the people obsessed with being victims.
