In case anyone needs it spelled out, we would play at a neutral site if the AFCCG ends up being Chiefs vs. Bills. All other scenarios abide by the usual rules (so any other game the Chiefs play will be at home).

Or Goodell really is incompetent and failed to make sure he even had the votes for his ridiculous proposal before putting it out to the public. Based on his history, I think you have to consider that's a significant possibility.

It's probably more likely to be Cincinnati that the Chiefs would face anyway. What would Cincinnati-KC in Indianapolis look like? A Bengals home game?

It only applies to the Bengals if KC loses this weekend, Cincy wins, and they both make the title game.

Maybe because it's absolute bullshit that a league can just change their playoff rules a week before the actual playoffs to placate one team and that we could easily be the ones getting ****ed even worse next time (and there will be a next time if this precedent is set)?

It really should've been explained to Cincinnati. the option should've been theirs. Agree to a no contest or request a forfeit, or agree to play a couple days later.

There's a rulebook that specifically says what to do in this situation, yet they're trying to make up rules that certainly seem to be primarily aimed at preventing another AFCCG at Arrowhead. I just don't understand why we're randomly just deciding to throw out the rulebook.

I'm not upset at the actual implications on the Chiefs Super Bowl chances, but it's the principle and precedent that I'm a little cranky about.

Stupid for Bengals to cry about the coin flip that only comes up if they get their ass kicked at home by a team whose #1 QB is not practicing.

If Chiefs had beaten Bills and were 1/2 game behind Bills and this hard to win game for Bills against Bengals were cancelled, Chiefs fans would be cool with the neutral site proposal.

The proposal needs to be changed to make Bengals Bills divisional a neutral site if both win this Sunday and wildcard weekend.

Chiefs get the benefit of the win percentage rule to get a bye and #1 seed.

If the proposal was voted down. Goodell should say resuming the Bills Bengals game and ****ing up the schedule has to be done because ownership cannot adjust to simply cancelling the game without crying like a bunch of assholes..

Yes, but that's much less likely. KC vs Cincy AFCCG at a neutral site only happens if week 18: Chiefs lose, Bills lose, Bengals win.

If somehow this whole thing passes, it's worth pointing out what an enormous amount of fear the league has about playing in Arrowhead. They are willing to tear up the rule book and move to a neutral site, and consider that a significant act in balancing out what they apparently perceive as a major disadvantage for the Bills.
