Bills/ Bengals [cancelled - process in OP]

In case anyone needs it spelled out, we would play at a neutral site if the AFCCG ends up being Chiefs vs. Bills. All other scenarios abide by the usual rules (so any other game the Chiefs play will be at home).

NFL should introduce horse blinders for players whenever someone goes down with an injury or make them vacate the vicinity while the player gets check out.

It's a few hours further away from KC than Buffalo, but packing 110 thousand people into The Big House for the AFCCG might be kinda badass.

There are consequences to every action. It doesn't matter if that action was because of something you did or because of a freak situation. You don't get to refuse to accept those consequences just because you don't like them.

And that's why I said "I don't know how they did it"

I'm aware of the concept. And yet whatever they tried in Nashville, it just didn't work.

You really feel like you're watching the game from space. I didn't care for it at all.

If KC loses to Raiders and Buffalo beats the Patriots, KC has no claim on the #1 seed. That would be 13-4 for KC and 13-3 for Buffalo. Even if Buffalo lost the game to Cincy, that would be 13-4 for Buffalo. They own a tiebreaker on KC for beating KC earlier in the season. Bottom line is KC needs to beat the Raiders and I hope they get it done!

well maybe they shouldve waited an hour or not packed their gear up? I mean they found out he lived. So at that point they had days to play a game.

If it's at a neutral site...how are the teams planning on handling playoff ticket presales? Just getting your money back and losing all of those ticket sales? Are the teams going to get an equal number of tickets to offer to those people?

Especially now that… thankfully… Hamlin looks to be on the fast track to a good prognosis.

Buffalo and their fans continuing to cry the sympathy card with this is lame.

What a dumb statement. There are established rules in the NFL rulebook for this type of thing. But let's just keep ignoring that fact while white knighting for the Bills.

Chiefs lost to the Bills the last TWO seasons in the regular season. I don't remember anyone bitching about the Chiefs hosting the Bills in the divisional last year. And, BTW, how'd that work out for them?

To make some connect the dots conclusion about how a regular season result should override an established rulebook and clear set of determining factors that are already in place is completely ****ing reeruned.

But I realize you already know that.

Sorry to interrupt your simping for the Bills. I'll let you get back to that . . . . .

I think that's a great comparison, though.

Busch and Kaufman have done things differently but BOTH approaches work exceptionally well. They're among the best stadiums in the country; have never found a bad seat anywhere. The only stadiums I think compared were in Seattle and SF. Target was another good one but a step behind Busch and the K.

Now Busch is a bit sterile and cookie cutter for my tastes, but the viewing angles are outstanding.

Either approach can work, but both can fail as well. And for whatever reason, I just didn't feel like TN pulled it off at all.

I don't think it would draw that many unless tickets were cheap for the locals. Also, they don't have ideal infrastructure with Detroit and Lansing being about an hour out each. They will also want the revenue to stay within the Shield.

The Cincy/Baltimore coin-flip thing may be the reason this doesn't pass. It's just so bizarre. If Bengals lose the toss, would that not be the first time in NFL history that a division winner had to go on the road to play in the wild card round?
