Football Bills/ Bengals [cancelled - process in OP] - Page 379

In case anyone needs it spelled out, we would play at a neutral site if the AFCCG ends up being Chiefs vs. Bills. All other scenarios abide by the usual rules (so any other game the Chiefs play will be at home).

Cinci went into the weekend as the 3 seed and stayed the 3 seed. What they lost (the potential to be the 2 seed) is far less than what the Bills lost (the potential to be the 1 seed including a bye week and HFA).

They are focused on the neutral site in the event we play Buffalo, but it makes a hell of lot more sense to do it for their game. Put it halfway between both cities(Cleveland) and finish the game like everyone wanted them to do in the first place.

Yep. “Didn’t get the opportunity to finish the 17-game season” applied to Cincy just as much as it applies to Buffalo. Should be a neutral site between them.

The Bengals are now leaking what really happened this past week after getting ****ed by the NFL and to no surprise to anyone (except maybe Bills fans and Zach), the Bills were the team that chose not to play the game.

That’s what I wanted.

I think KC should have had all the benefits of the 1 seed. The wishy washy neutral site thing is weird to me.

I don't blame you for being able to sit back and reap the benefits, i just blame you for claiming the Bills were robbed while the Bengals benefitted...when your team is the one benefitting by saying neutral site AFCCG because the Bills could have won and not saying Bengals #2 seed because they could have won.

The NFL can't have both of those scenarios, so they randomly chose the Bills by not saying neutral site for Bengals V Bills playoff game as well.

It's easy. All neutral sites or no neutral sites.

That's just circumstance, not equitability.

And the Bills were the one and only team that controlled the situation, so it makes total sense that the NFL had to cater to the Chiefs, Ravens, and (sort of but not really at all) Bengals in that regard.

If the Bills wanted to play for the 1 seed/bye/HFA, then resume the game Monday night (a real shitty option), don't fly home and push for playing Tuesday (a slightly less shitty option) or resuming at some point (a little lesser shitty option)

Nothing was "taken" from the Bills... they didn't lose anything. They had a few shitty options and they chose one of them, forcing the NFL to figure it out.

The Bengals were just along for the ride.. and win tomorrow, the only downside to the whole thing is going to Buffalo for the divisional instead of determining that HFA on the field in Cincy last week.

The Chiefs lost the chance for HFA in the AFCCG against the Bills.
The Bengals lost the chance at the 2 seed, HFA against the Bills, and avoiding potentially the awfulness of determining WC HFA with a coin.

The Bills chose to put all of this into the hands of the NFL..... right, wrong, or indifferent when it comes to the mental health of players, whether they should have played, etc. It's just what happened.
