Golden Era of Chiefs Football appreciation thread

Clark Hunt went in person and landed Andy Reid as the next head coach of the Chiefs about a decade ago.

Ever since we have steadily gotten better and now we are living the "Golden Era" of KC Chiefs football

After so much turmoil this past decade has been incredible. Now with Andy Reid, Brett Veach, Mahomes and others we are set up for success now and years into the future.

Appreciate that Clark went and landed his guy Andy. We have come a long way from flying banners over the stadium.

I first remember following Chiefs around 85-86. Kenney, Paige, Carson era. I turned 13 during Derrick Thomas's rookie year. You know I'm appreciating every last drop of the current era.

I am enjoying every second of these glory days for the Chiefs. It have been a fan long enough to know this is the best of times. I just love how the other fan bases are coming to hate us. We are now the evil empire, I love it! They hate us 'cause they ain't us!

VARSITY
It would have been nice to win more games as a child and teenager, but I'm glad that this is happening in the order that it is. It's twice as fun after so many decades of disappointment. I'm delirious with joy.

Alex had as big a role to play in where the Chiefs are now as anyone else.

He was always the bridge QB who was going to hold down the fort until we got the franchise guy. And he played that role admirably and with no complaints.

And when we got the franchise guy, he took it upon himself to mentor him. Even though he knew it meant his own job was about to be taken away.

For all those reasons, Alex Smith is a Chiefs legend as far as i'm concerned.

Even Patrick himself credits Alex for showing him the ropes

Alex will always get his props for letting the greatest QB the world has ever seen download his "gigabytes" as they say

read what he wrote again

you can't be serious

I can name 75 people who are more responsible for where the Chiefs are NOW than ass11. you're drunk or something.

we are years past anything ass11 "taught" mahomes which is minimal

not even sure why the losers and alexians still feel the need to even mention that name
