That’s not entirely accurate. PFF says Taylor is a bad run blocker but good pass blocker. And also that he’s ascending. CP says it doesn’t care about how bad of a run blocker he is because the guy is being signed for one reason and one reason only: to protect Mahomes.

I wouldn’t lean on any PFF ranking in isolation, but it’s backed up by the eye test, the stats, and the narrative around the guy. So then when you look at PFF and it grades him the same as two JAGs we know very, very well, it provides some context for the level of mediocrity we’re likely dealing with.

And could you imagine paying much of anything for either of those two guys?
