And they'll probably push some of next season's base into 2025 before they cut him after next season and turn next year's figure into about $22 million before they eat $20 million in dead cap the following season.

It's why sometimes, getting production from a guy like Donovan Smith at a B+ level is worth more WAR wise than getting A+ from Trent Williams.
