Brady went like 10 years from Ring 3 to 4. Just get one more fellas. And after that draft draft and more draft younger guys. Also maybe Mahomes will take a cut or try to restructure. Im not insinuating he not worth the money at all. But 15 strikes me as the type who wants to be a SB contender every year. I think he would sacrifice for the team |

Basically, the ER or the DT are taking a hard path while the other is looping but there are a variety of stunts that look somewhat similar but aren't exactly the same. An Exit stunt will usually see the end take an outside jab and then drive hard inside straight to the guard's hip while the DT then takes a shorter path to the QB coming around behind him to the outside. A Spear will see the ER take a hard drive straight through the tackle with the DT looping outside, which is wider than Exit but the same general philosophy. A Veer stunt, the ER usually shoots the G/T gap with the DT looping. A Tex, usually, is a hard outside drive by the DT with the ER looping inside. Etc... They all basically do the same thing just different drive angles with loop flips. If a team runs, the ER crashing hard inside like that will disrupt the play and force it outside where the DT and LB will be waiting. If it's the pass, the tackle has to maintain his outside responsibility or the DT will get easy pressure. If the Guard doesn't anchor against the crash against the ER, that's an easy sack. I guess that's quick and dirty. Communication and recognition by the O-Line is paramount. |

‘There aren’t any pictures on the scorecard’. 7-2 and the number 1 seed is all that matters at this point. Golden age or not.

That Bronco team was a complete joke by the end of the year and rode opposition injuries and absolutely bullshit officiating to Superfarce 50.

The goal is to win titles, so yes, 13 seconds while awesome at the time, you naturally progress to "then what happened" and you're forced to remember a second half of football where Matt Cassel came out disguised in Pat's jersey and put up a qb rating of 2, leading to a tip drill Hill interception to lose the game in OT. The 13 seconds win, and Burrowhead revenge win, they're just copium. They're top shelf copium, but that's all they are. When you have bar none the best qb on the planet, and allegedly the best head coach in football, anything less than a superbowl win is a massive failure. I don't see any other logical way to look at it.

How much fun you had watching your team not win the superbowl is irrelevant. It really is okay to have high expectations and demand top tier results. I'm just happy to be here? Sounds like detachment to avoid disappointment to me.

Well, last I checked, the other teams don't have the best qb/te combo on the planet and alleged greatest play designer/playcaller in NFL history. So if those things are true, and now you throw in a top 3 defense, this is Superbowl win or massive failure territory. It just is. If they fall short this season because the Ringling Brothers weren't available for all of our 3rd and 1 needs, and Andy is so bored with "just line the **** up and play football" that he has to call Harlem Globetrotter shit that often times removes his best qb on the planet from running the play, then that is an unmitigated disaster worthy of every ounce of criticism there is. You can point to great plays like the strip scoop pitch score, and how many games we won, but this is a superbowl team. Defending champs. If they don't make it, this is another wasted year of Patrick Mahomes career. I just don't see any other way to look at it. "At least they were fun to watch" is horseshit. The 2003 Chiefs were fun to watch too.

Mahomes should look at it as a failure in order to keep getting better. Same for Reid and most anyone else. I'd argue Veach, with his eyes on both the right now and long term probably wouldn't see every single non-SB season as a failure but should still treat each one as if it was (even if you look back and say x SBs in a stretch is about as good as it gets). It's just entertainment to us, and the peak of that entertainment is of course winning Super Bowls. Why the hell would you even watch if you thought most seasons were going to end up as "massive failure"? That's just nonsense... :13 may end up being the best and most insane game I've ever attended in person and I 100% had a better time at that game overall than I did stressing the **** out over this past AFCCG and SB.
