If you are in the open field and slide late, then you should be treated like everyone else with the ball. I get this is a league that will continue to protect the QB, and they should. However, if you want to act like a RB, then you should get treated like one when you are toting the ball downfield - especially a guy that is 6'5" and 245#'s (and who is generally looking for contact).

They should hit his bitch ass, like Dirty Dan hit Henry and he never recovered that game from it. Can we sign DD for a couple plays in this game?

Gotta believe Terrel Bernard is out for this weekend, right? Even if that's just a sprain, he won't be able to play on it 6 days later.

That's a MASSIVE loss for them. He was probably their best player on defense. Good run defender, really good pass rusher. Not always great in space but not a liability out there. Easily their best overall LBer.

I think part of that is how McDermott uses his 'backers - a replacement will likely be adequate either way. But he won't be as good as Bernard and that's just one more thing we don't have to worry about.

If our WR's can do ANYTHING this weekend that would occupy those Safeties, then the middle of the field should be ours - a big Kelce game should be in play.

Do anything or don't do anything - in a short sample size it doesn't really matter. McDermott isn't going to risk leaving those guys 1v1 unless Reid shows early that he's not even going to send them.

And I don't expect that.

Just sending Hardman on a vert here and there will be enough. And frankly, Rice has demonstrated the ability to simply defeat pursuit angles for YAC so it's not like you can have safeties bombing downhill when he's a threat to break a tackle and go for 50 on a quick slant.

I'm not worried about the Bills breaking out a 46 defense or anything here. There's going to be room over the middle.

Now if Kelce could stop dropping half his passes, that would be great...

QBs should only be allowed to slide on scrambles, not on designed running plays.

The more i think about this game, the more I think the Chiefs win convincingly. The matchups just don't favor Buffalo. Anywhere really. Of course this all assumes the Chiefs dont fist themselves with turnovers, penalties and dropped passes.

Yup. They're already taking about him maybe being back in a limited role if they make it to the Championship game.

That's just a devastating loss for them after Tremaine Edmunds went to Chicago and Matt Milano is on IR.

Gotta think Andy is licking his chops bc boy if we've learned anything it's that Andy Reid can really put LB's in hell with his window dressing. Inexperienced LB's against Kelce is also a terrible matchup for them.

If The Chiefs don't shoot themselves in the foot, like they have most games this season (dropped passes, fumbles, dumb penalties), they should easily win.
