Thursday will likely cinch it.

Limited can probably still play but if you have a DNP on a Thursday leading to gameday, it's gonna be awfully tough to be sound enough to make a difference.

Also worried that, with the crowd noise, a stupid Jawaan Taylor false start is going to cost us.
Crowd noise might actually help, at least as it relates to penalties.

You gotta figure they'll be going with a silent count. Makes your OL slower off the ball but it SHOULD keep them from jumping if the crowd is that raucous.

Yup.

And then the question becomes...

If you are Sean McDermott, and your CBs are Kair Elam and a banged-up Rasul Douglas and a banged-up Taron Johnson, is your plan going to be that you'll be aggressive and try to squeeze the short and intermediate ranges and dare KC to beat you over the top? Or are you going to determine your best bet is to sit in safer zone coverage and dare KC to beat you with sustained drives, hoping to force turnovers or have drives stall due to lack of execution by KC?

It gets even shakier if Johnson can't go.

The latter.

You do what the Broncos did. Vanilla as hell, hope they're smart and assignment sound, and that the Chiefs vapor lock.

Now if we get Playoff Pat, he'll vivisect that shit and you'll have to pivot really quickly. But I think that's where you have to start it. If for no other reason than aggressive man coverage is going to increase the likelihood of one of those guys breaking down.

We're not the Legion of Zoom these days, but chasing WRs is hard work. If Johnson and Douglas aren't at 100% they won't make it through the 3rd quarter trying to play a lot of man.

He'll have to get conservative. And there's ample cause given that the same conservative approach has stymied the shit out of us a few times this year. But what that does is take the fate of the Bills out of the hands of the Bills, IMO.

At that point it's all on Pat. If he's good, they lose. The end.

If I was in McDermott's shoes, I would force KC to go for the deep ball. It's a low percentage play and the Chiefs are not good at it. Mahomes is not accurate on the deeper throws and the receivers are not very good at route-running or tracking the ball in the air.

It's not that. He's coddled by the refs and slides LATE so people are afraid of PFs. They aren't scared of that bitch otherwise.

19 with 10 mph winds. Weather almost a non-factor if that forecast holds up.

Wonder about field conditions?

...hell, it's basically the main topic of this thread as far as the Chiefs flipping the switch and also finding their identity.
Common opponents:

Chiefs beat NE on the road. Bills lost to NE on the road.

Chiefs beat Jets on the road. Bills lost to the Jets on the road.

Chiefs beat Jaguars on the road. Bills lost to the Jaguars in London.

Chiefs beat the Broncos at home. Bills lost to the Broncos at home.

Chiefs beat the Bengals. Bills lost to the Bengals.

Bills almost lost to Easton Stick on the road. Chiefs beat him on the road without the starters.

Both teams beat the Dolphins twice and blew them out at home.

Both teams lost to the Eagles.

Each team beat the Raiders once.
