Tried to do that in my initial post. Chiefs offensive efficiency is a marvel. Same feeling as going against the Pats or old Manning offenses where you knew the other team was basically always going to make the right decision. And it felt like if it had been necessary, the Chiefs had more in the bag they could have gone to. What the Chiefs are doing is impressive because the AFC is so much tougher of a conference than the NFC.

Hey, man. Just FYI, I'm like two more dumb posts away from ignoring you. Not a threat, just telling you right now. You're a Bengals fan on a Chiefs board who is @ing me to try to impress the Chiefs fans here and trying dunk on me after my team lost. I'm simply not going to engage with that. Thanks.

Excellent post. Stick with the congratulatory stuff here. Blaming refs and making excuses comes off really badly. Be a good fan of the Ravens and stick around for next year.

Rainbow throw to wide open guy on a broken play, with an ability to avoid the sack.
Rainbow throw to wide open guy who then gets a taunting call (lol).
Good and hilariously lucky play to complete a pass to himself.

...besides that, man there's just nothing there in the pass game. Some props that he does tend to look down field and doesn't 100% focus on taking off when he gets out of the pocket. A lot of inaccurate throws. He did make one nice throw under pressure in the 4th quarter on that cross/slant that was incomplete.

The offense was almost completely reliant on broken down plays that getting defenders out of position, so a linebacker is chasing your receiver 30 yards down field, or so you have open field to run.

I think your OC out-thought himself. Went completely in the opposite direction of what got BAL to this game, ffs. 15 rushes total for the game? He should be taken out to the woodshed, imo.
Definitely. Even worse, six carries to the running backs. Six! It really hurt us not having Mitchell/Dobbins today. But even still, this Ravens team has been the best running team in the history of football over the Lamar era with a hodgepodge of RBs. Monken was brought in to diversify the system and add more passing, but it went way too far to the other extreme. I'm not sure I saw a single RPO today, which is absolutely insane given that that's what Lamar does. And no answer for the blitz, which is inexcusable.

The Chiefs deserve credit for this. I actually think the Chiefs' offense did a lot to help the defense. No one gets an early lead against the Ravens. I think this was the first time Lamar had been down by 10 since 2021. The Chiefs being so lights out in their first two drives meant the Ravens felt pressured to adjust their gameplan to pass more than they already were this year, which squeezed out the run entirely. And then your d-line outperformed expectations. Great gameplan by KC.

Mahomes is Jordan. Lamar has the misfortune to play in HIS era. He's Charles Barkley. Great player. Deserved to win one. Never did. There weren't enough opportunities because he had to beat HIM to get to that trophy.
I feel like Chiefs fans think there are people out there who doubt Mahomes. Who are they? Certainly not me. Everyone accepts that Mahomes is the best player in the NFL right now and will go down as one of the best players ever when it's all said and done.

That doesn't mean he's infallible. I understand he did what was necessary today and could have/would have put up more than 17 points if needed. But the fact of the matter is that the Chiefs didn't score a single point in the second half. And even the field goal was only there because of multiple personal fouls. Again, he's the best player in the world. But he could have been beat today by a better offense.

Baltimore has a great defense and they force a lot of turnovers. Zero turnover worthy plays by Mahomes today. I counted 4-5 turnover worthy plays by Lamar. He was fortunate to only have 2 actual turnovers. Protecting the football has been a major problem for Mahomes and the Chiefs this season, so I would say he has done a hell of a job in this Playoff run. Avoid turnovers and drastically increase your chances of winning the game.

Lamar was basically in a mini melt down mode the entire game further hurting his already limited passing skills. That team completely succumbed to the adversity we presented them with.

No, i'm a Bengals fan on a Chiefs board talking to a Ravens fan because we're in the same division and i initially disagreed with your assessment that other AFCN teams draft with Lamar in mind. That statement was blatantly false and you're the one that decided to mock and take it crooked. I don't care if you ignore me.

My first post today @you was because, as i stated, in the SB era not one single QB/HC combo that has been together for 5 years, has won a superbowl past that 5 year mark, unless they actually win one within those first 5 years. Allen is past the 5 year mark (didn't win one). Lamar is past the 5 year mark (didn't win one). Next year will be year 5 for Burrow.

HCs and QBs can win a SB after they've been in the league longer than 5 years, but only if they move on to someone else. Never together.

I was just throwing a fact your way. Not @ing you to impress anyone.

No disagreement. The interesting part is that Lamar had a significantly lower interception rate than Mahomes this year. Lamar isn't Josh Allen whatsoever; he was fourth in the league and protects the ball. You rarely see the strip sack too. Both of those things tell you he was pressing. Part of that might be pressure or whatever; who knows. But what I can say is getting out to an early lead against the Ravens is very rare and puts them in positions they almost never play in. I feel like the Chiefs knew that and went hard at the very beginning on script to establish that dynamic.

Sure, happy to discuss Ravens/Bengals or Ravens/Chiefs or Bengals/Chiefs or whatever. And I'm sure we can. Just felt like you were going out of your way to try to dunk as hard as possible immediately after my team lost when I'm trying to do the right thing.

I'm here so that Chiefs fans don't think Ravens fans talk tough and then run away. But I'm not here to have a Bengals fan tell me that my organization is a trash can immediately after they lost a huge game. If you want to be messy, go ahead, but I'll simply ignore you. Hopefully we can re-calibrate the dynamic.

Kudos for showing up. Sincerely.

Your defense is legit. Dirty, but legit. Roquan is one of my favorite players in the league when he's not playing against us.

Need somebody besides Zay on offense. He made a couple boneheaded plays, but I said leading up to April that I thought he was the best WR in the draft. Liked Puka, but had no idea he'd end up being the best in the draft.

Hope we meet again next season at this time, but in Arrowhead.

Peace.

I've said numerous times I thought Flowers was the best WR in the draft. So quick and fluid with his cuts. If we weren't going to get him, Rice was a great consolation prize. Mocked him to us in the 2nd.

If this story is true - and I don't see a reason to doubt it - if he has any common sense, DHop will soon regret not making it work.
