Crazy the excuses people will make for bad cops. That one cop is way more dangerous than Tyreek ever presented.
Go look at video's of police being shot during traffic stops and maybe you'll start to under stand the risks. It's not about a proportional response. It's not a la-de-da situation. It's not a discussion. It's a you will comply, or you will face the consequences. If you feel your rights have been violated, argue it in a court of law. What's crazy is the people that will go out of their way to excuse bad citizenship behavior by someone who plays pro football.

Being a police officer doesn't even make the top 20 in most dangerous jobs in America. Being a good cop doesn't mean you can stomp on the rights of citizens out of fear.

That officer shouldnt have a badge and is a danger to the community he is suppose to be serving. There was 0 provocation to take him to the ground and arrest him. Rolling up a window does not give the cops the right to arrest him.

The cop has already been put on administrative leave and if Tyreek pursues it will get paid and have him fired. Cops are public employees and should be held to the highest standard because of the power they hold.

Not given a pass because the guy in a car that cost more than my house made them scared by rolling up his window. Any one with common sense would have known that Tyreek Hill was not a threat.

They had a right to arrest him based on his misdemeanor traffic violation. It wasn’t a simple ticket from my understanding. He refused and they have every right to pull him out. They were respectful and did not break his window. And drag him out but they would have been justified. Hill is solely responsible here and the NFL better backtrack and support their cops in this situation. Hill is extremely fortunate to escape arrest here.

You don’t have the right to disobey lawful orders in this country.

It was careless driving, not reckless driving. So it is a citation, not a misdemeanor

His windows were down so the officer could clearly see he wasn't wearing a seat belt.

What a stupid thing to do to rip a Miami dolphin player out of his vehicle like that. Can you imagine the outcry if the cops injured Tyreek?

Cops don't seem to have the "power" you talk about!!!! If they did Tyreek would'nt have given the cop a bunch of lip from the start. Tyreek knew he did wrong but thought he was above it all and acted like the cops should do what he said!!!!! The whole country is like that today and that is why the cops shouldn't take a lot of shit anymore.

How is saying a cop is crazy for beating the hell out of a 350k car’s window a bunch of lip?

Tyreek rolled his window up after the officer took his ID. I don’t believe the cop ever said leave it down? Tyreek rolls it up to have a private conversation with his lawyer.

Then the cop starts beating on the glass again and tyreek rolls it down and asks him to stop. You’re saying police can trample over private property in the event of a simple traffic stop? You gonna bend over to a power hungry cop in a situation like that?

If Hill and Calais weren’t wealthy and an army of NFL security didn’t descend on the scene, they both would have been arrested and the charges would have included things like obstruction/resisting arrest/assault on an officer.it would have gone from a simple motor vehicle infraction to a felony.

Actually if it weren't for a fan taping the whole thing from beginning to finish, same deal. Look at how they did scheffler dirty and the only thing that saved him was a side video

Beating the hell out of the car window? Being a bit overly dramatic aren’t we? Even Reek only referred to it as knocking.

And the idea that rolling up the window just because you’ve given the officer your ID is acceptable is asinine. The officer was trying to communicate with him, he kept asking about the lack of a seatbelt, which is well within his authority to do. Reek was ignoring the question and then rolls the window up on him while the officer is still trying to conduct his lawful business.

I’m not going to say I agreed with everything the officers did in that video, but Reek was clearly acting like an entitled bitch.

I'm sure Rosenhaus told him to roll up the window. Just comply with the officer, whether he's in the right or wrong, and move on with your life.

Apparently the cops didn't know who he was...how stupid are you?

Ok now this is one seriously ironic statement.

If this is the case it is stupidly conflicting. Rolling up your window while the officer is trying to talk to you about the stop is the exact opposite of complying.

I mean heres the thing, if he was that bothered by knocking on the window; why would he roll it up? From the sound of it he was trying to call drew during the stop. I thought it was rosenhaus, but it may have been the dolphins security guy drew Brooks. It's entirely possible he was trying to call someone or was getting advice to roll the window up which would have been fine if windows weren't tinted or he was distracted. Can't blame the officer for being on edge but you also cant assume ill intent from Tyreek.

Even if there is no tint in the windows, rolling them up while the officer is in the course of doing his lawful duty is being defiant.

If this truly was advice being given to Hill, he needs to find better advice givers.
