That's the best thing about it. He's not just some guy we picked up for some depth or yo warm the bench. He's a vital part of this team. I remember when he got pulled over in 2019 I think and he was crying about how he was supposed to be playing for us and helping us win a superbowl. I know this means a lot to him and I really hope he gets it.

This “Pacheco runs so hard” narrative needs to stop. He goes down quicker than a Nevada prostitute. He has next to zero vision, and no feel for short yardage situations. The dude runs into his own lineman more than any RB in history. One of the most frustrating players in recent memory.

The only thing more frustrating is that Reid/Nagy doesn't realize it.

He runs very hard in open space and has quite often trucked DB’s preferring to make business decisions (as opposed to CEH, for instance).

He was great in the Eagles Super Bowl. Pop is at his best when he can run to the edges, but unfortunately our tackles haven’t been up for that lately.

What RB doesn’t run hard in open space? Or can’t “truck DB’s”? Give me a break. Dude is the definition of mid. Don’t get me wrong…a great value pick, but far from a complete back or a #1 in the NFL.

Love his energy though.

LOL

Look at his short yardage production. I’m fine with Pacheco in non short yardage situations. Could be the worst back in the league in 3rd and 4th and short.

Its like the Ernest Byner / Kevin Mack debate of yesteryear. Feed the hot hand, let them both eat and be happy about it.

In both of those instances, he tucked his head down (limiting his field voew) and tuck the ball. What did he do on both downs? Ran into the ass of his own linemen for no gain.

It's inexcusable. He's better than CEH. That's who he replaced. But he isn't better than hunt. And I'd also put perine over him. Hell give me an older Mckinnon over him. Pacheco runs hard. That's it. His running style also limits his affectiveness.
