There are Raiders fans who would rather lose with Mark than see him sell the team to some tech guru because the soul would be gone.

Mark has Al's ego without any of Al's successes which justified that arrogance. The other owners might not have liked Al but they respected him. They must snicker when Mark rolls in with his backpack.
