By the way - I do hope that you had a happy Birthday. frazod Actually, I've seen every game. Thus far, the Chiefs and Raiders haven't played in the same time slot. Since I live in Omaha, there's a pretty sizeable Chief fanbase... meaning that my sports bar put the Chiefies up on the big screen. I agree that your offense hasn't looked good... but I'm just saying that holding them up to last year's standard is a bit too optimistic when you knew going in that your receivers were banged up. Still - generally speaking your offense has been able to move the ball... which would be great if your defense could make an ocassional stop. While they looked better in week 3, they're still not making that one critical stop in games that could seal the deal for your offense. I just feel that your offense - for as much as it hasn't been setting the world on fire - has been playing well enough that there's no reason you should be 0-3 right now. You put up 24 points in week 1 - THAT SHOULD BE ENOUGH TO WIN! You put up 21 points in week 3 - THAT SHOULD BE ENOUGH TO WIN! ... if your defense can play a reasonably good game. So far, they haven't, which is why I'm saying that I see them as the bigger disappointment. Added into that, of course, is the faith that the front office showed these defensive players, which is going completely unrewarded. When you field the defense you did last year and the front office says, "We know you guys can do better if we put you in a better scheme"... and then you DON'T do better, well... that's a hell of a disappointment. And, please, understand that I'm not talking shit here. That's honestly the way I'd look at it. |
