Heh. Good point. They always make a big deal out of the Casinos and how we stupid Nebraskans are feeding the economy. I always say "Um, look at this place! It's a shit hole! Who's laughing now? At least we get to go home to a nice clean looking city...

Actually, the wife and I stayed at a Bed and Breakfast in Dennison. We did a little driving tour of all the little towns around there, it was a really relaxing weekend. My work brings me to Des Moines from time to time. Des Moines seems OK, but it has its sucktastic qualities as well.

I was transfered to Iowa in my younger days around Mt. Pleasant, had to move in the back door cause the ****ing blizzard was blowing in the front. When winter finally ended the ****ing wind started blowing. It was like living on a pool table. One spring day I stood all I could Stand and couldn't stand no more. I went out got the Weber and fired her up, went back in and got the strips ready for the 1st BBQ, went back out to check on the Weber and the ****ing wind had blown her over and I had smoking Briquettes bouncing across the yard starting little fires. Left six months later, People were very nice though

Have you ever been to Dubuque? Much shittier. Sioux City only smells because of the stockyards downtown. If Council Bluffs was not by Omaha, that would be a very bad place.
