Screw him. Just got off the phone with Rock Band customer support and they are sending me a new copy for free.
Now there is good customer service. They didn't even ask about receipts or anything. Just want me to send the old copy back to them when I get it. Pretty sad this guy can't just fix the problem and the game manufacturer is willing to take care of it no questions asked.
