Birthday gift from ebay

Got my son Rock Band off of ebay for his birthday.

DAMN DISC IS UNPLAYABLE.

What a load of CRAP!!!!!

I have purchased several games from Ebay and HALF.com and NEVER had an issue with one of them. Now, the one we buy for his birthday is the one that doesn't work.

NEVER AGAIN!!!

Oh, I did dispute it through PP yesterday. That is what I am going to drag out. This idiot is not responding to me through PP though. He chose to reply to the PP dispute though the Ebay system. gonna make it easy for me to send PP an unresolved complaint if he keeps that up.

Perfect. I hope you get a free game for all of your trouble. You know, if you're required to send the disk back, you ought to include a copy of of Rick Astley's Greatest Hits and a note that says, "You've been Rick Rolled, bitch!" There's no way for paypal or ebay to know what you sent, they just require a receipt. Karma's a mother****er, and it sounds like this dickhead has some comin to him.

Unless it seals cracks I don't think so. There is a crack right at the center of the disk. According to the Rock Band forums, this is evidently very common with this game for some reason, hence why they are allowing such easy access to a new copy from customer support.

I am happy now anyway. EA is sending me a brand new disk to replace it with. All I have to do is send my disk in to them when I get it.

Yeah, they are good about that. I have gotten a new kick pedal and more recently at new drum set. Both times it only took about 3-4 days. Too bad they can't make the items durable in the first place. I just sent my broken drum pads back yesterday along with my 360.

This guy isn't even responding to me. Just throwing policy back at me. It is a unique situation that I am asking him to consider bending his policy on.

Plus he refuses to even respond through PP at all. Keeps using the ebay method of communication. Will this benefit me on PP?

No, it won't benefit you on Paypal, even though Ebay owns Paypal.

I think it sucks for you but policies are policies. These guys that sell on Ebay have very slim margins and if they allowed returns, they would just get abused and lose money.

I hope it all works out to your satisfaction.

I just wish they would actually TEST their products before shipping them out. He obviously didn't on this one.

I don't know anything about video games (so pardon my ignorance on that subject) but wouldn't that void the warranty?
