I actually think Taylor is a pure OT prospect. You don't get a lot of OL on your team with his agility. It's his run-blocking that could use some improvement. To me, I think he's a solid RTotF. You don't slide athleticism like that inside.
Richardson seems to be the opposite. Richardson is a monstrous road-paver, but could use better work on his agility. To me, he seems a prime suspect to move inside, especially on this Chiefs team that's incredibly shallow at G. That said, I don't think Taylor is faring wonderfully at LT, but he could do as a backup this year. I don't think he has the athleticism to keep up with the fastest DEs and OLBs in the league. The reason he didn't give up a sack had more to do with Gailey's playcalling against the Bears (lots of misdirection and rollouts, which negates poor OL play) than his own talents. Nevertheless, I'm loving this guy. I can't believe a late-round OL may actually work out for us. |
