Scott Mitchell springs to mind, as does Matt Schaub. At least he has proven he's not a corpse under center.

With that said, Schaub only brought two seconds and a swap from 8-10. For Cassell to justify going from 1 to 25 and another third, you are talking about 2400 points in value, which would be equivalent to trading 5 early-mid 2nd round draft picks for him.

It's Lions we're talking about right? We are talking about the same Lions?

I didn't mean from 1 to 25. I meant swapping their other 1st round pick (#22) (from Dallas). That plus their 3rd round pick would be worth around 300-400 points.

They can get an elite QB in the draft and keep their picks. Use FA for other holes. The top pick should be an elite prospect, giving that away for Cassell and a lower first rounder sounds like they would be shooting themselves in the foot-sorry to rain on your parade. Just my measley two cents.

Did you just read any ****ing thing I said? I didn't say giving away the #1 pick overall. It would be them moving from #22 to #25. So instead of drafting Stafford with their 1st pick....they could get Cassell by swapping their later 1st round pick, grab an OT with the #1 pick. Then grab another player with the #25 pick.

Given that the Pats are the one who sucks the peniss that they are, I'd almost guarantee they tag and trade Cassell for a similar package to what Schaub got. Minnesota would be one of the few places I could see willing to pay that price.

Yea, I missed that part and I tried to be civil, as well. Since we're getting down to brass tacks, I don't get your fixation with Boy Wonder, Cassell, so I haven't really been reading your every word with baited breath-sorry. You first started off with getting Cassell in FA and then changed it to a trade scenario-when you change horses in mid-stream, it's kind of hard to keep up.

I started off with Cassell in FA but then was reminded that the Pats are dicks and would probably tag him. I didn't start off with switching the #1 pick for the #25 pick.....I just had to explain that because people took it the wrong way.

And I don't have a fixation with the boy wonder. I think he sucks...but it's the Lions were talking about....not a real team with a real GM.
