What does everyone think of supporter powers?
To add some background supporters pay $10 a month and they get the ability to issue infractions or warnings and if the person gets enough of infractions he gets temp ban for a day or 2.

Some of the people in DC are upset that shtsprayer got temp banned because of some comments he made and believe that supporter powers are too strong.

On the flip side DaFace made a good point yesterday that if it wasn't for the few of us supporters Malboro Chief would have posted a ton of porn yesterday but we were able to ban him almost immediately.

So what does everyone think? Good idea, bad idea?

Harm? Not really. I actually intentionally left it open because the original thread could have been pretty funny if a bunch of people had started using it. But when you're just using it to pretend you're not yourself, there's no point.

My only complaint is that there aren't enough of you (and Dole/Morph) to go around.

Perhaps. I know this place has always been run with a pretty small crew, which helps to keep the "loosely moderated" culture going. I'd be OK with adding one or two true "mods" (everyone we have technically are admins), but I'm not sure that's my decision to make.
