What's with the Thigpen fixation?

Now I fully admit it isn't as bad as I thought it was going to be on this forum but I've yet to figure out this fixation with him. It's really bad at some other unnamed forums..

I honestly have no way of comprehending what it's about. It's like everything people said about Croyle has now been lumped onto Thigpen. "Well um he's the guy we don't need another QB"

The worst part is the people who don't want a QB this year then say well if Thigpen doesn't work out we can just take Bradford or McCoy, it's like peoples brains fell out.

If they had a front office worth a shit, they could have gotten there years ago.

They've wasted more Top 10 picks in the last 10-12 years than any other franchise in the league.

I've seen a lot of name calling, and misdirection, but I've yet to see anyone actually answer this question and state a case for Tyler Thigpen.

I've seen several people make a case against him, but have yet to see anyone actually state a case.

Anyone?

Going into the season or even the post season if I would have talked about the cards going to the big game Mecca would have droned on about how that wasn't rational and how my brain seeped out of my head. Same thing for last year's SB Champion Giants.

Yet a young QB who makes plays happen without much of a support system that has only started 8 games can't get better.

No one is saying he can't get better. But to pass on Stafford/Sanchez you have to expect drastic improvement. There's a world of difference there.

That's kinda funny seeing how I liked Arizona's talent quite a long time ago...

Yea liking someone's talent sounds like saying they will go to the SB.

Its no big deal really...I would have deserved flac for saying the Cards would have gone to the SB and the Giants would have won it the year before.

Sports are not empirical.

Sports is sports.

It's partly because he's a great story. Coastal Carolina, poached from the Vikes practice squad...it's a nice underdog story.

For the last goddamed time, there is NO FIXATION (though you could make a case for the camp that is on the "we must draft a QB no matter what!!11ONE11" wagon, Thiggey is the BEST QB we have currently on the roster. Now I love to dream about having the next Marino or Elway but you always (well most of us) wake up. Should we draft a QB then great lets see who wins the job. Until then it is what it is.

Not its not.

Its because he made plays and made the Chiefs get into the endzone. I don't care about his story.

So it goes back to the whole underdog thing where it's more about blue collar hard working guys than guys with real talent...

I've kind of thought that for awhile after I've seen some real no name players get blown up like they were big deals.
