I predict that, after this draft, there will be great wailing and gnashing of teeth on ChiefsPlanet. I know it sounds crazy, but it's just possible that Pioli doesn't read Mr. Mecca's posts.

Besides, we've tried the whole "draft" thing. Maybe it's time we just go completely nuts and wilder than a pack of brainsick hogs in free agency. Get some damn players in here who are locker room leaders and give back to the community and stuff.

the big problem is that there is so much money available out there that the high priced guys are going to demand HUGE,HUGE money ... more than normal.

Unfortunately, you are correct on this. But do you think the economy will have anything to do with NFL salaries - specifically for aging players?

Probably not this year, but if things don't turn around it will have to in a couple of years.

Actually the 2 or 3 years he has left may be exactly what it takes to get these young guys going.

What an idiot!
I heard that part of the interview and set up when I heard the QB part. Exactly what I've been saying. First, a disclaimer, I'm not trying to tell Pioli/Haley who to draft. As of now I have faith in their ability to select the correct players. But, I hope they draft Stafford or Sanchez at #3. A junior Manning/Elway/Montana will go a long ways to helping us win a championship. A franchise QB elevates the talent around him.

And SD is still suffering today??? Let's see, how many top quality QB's have they had since Leafs??? They had the best talent in the AFCW ... coaching is their problem.

It's not like we've missed on other top picks. If we do draft a QB with the #3, and he is a bust, we will recover. Would we build faster with a true QBOTF? Yes, but fear will never win a team a championship.

You bet, and if you want a slow fat guy with a big mouth participating in murders around town, we should bring him in for a look,he could show the young guys the ropes, see what he's got left in the tank etc.
