It's obvious they're waiting on something. If they announce Gibbs as DC and then hire Crennel, what are they going to do, retract their announcement? On the other hand, if they announce him as LB coach and Crennel (or whoever) doesn't come aboard, how do they explain Gibbs' sudden promotion next week without giving away that they didn't get their man?

There may be other hires in the same vein. Hunt said they weren't through yet.

The net result is that they still don't know what jobs one or more of those guys are going to have.
