I'll very glady take 8-8 or 9-7 in '09 because it means the Chiefs did a terrific job in the offseason in all phases; management, coaching, draft, free agency and the emergence of their young players to the point where they can now learn to win games.
An 8-8 or 9-7 season this year puts the Chiefs MUCH closer to contending for a Super Bowl Championship than another 5 win or less season.
