At home I have a 2003 dual gig G4 mac, with 1 gig of ram.

How come gifs on my CPU at work run kind of choppy, and slow, and all gifs run in real time, very fast, and never pause, or stop on my Mac?

Just a question. Do Macs really just run that much smoother? And it's not just the gifs. It seems like any program that I run on the mac, or any video I watch seems to run better on the less powerful mac. Why?

Just curious what you guys think.
exact same scenario, here. I use the G4 as well, i'm guessing memory, which browser do you use?

I have TONS of music, pictures, etc. on my Mac. I have never downloaded anything on my HP at work.

And FTR my mac does not have enough power to run Autodesk Inventor.
You need at least 4 gigs for that program to run right.

The things that run smoother on the mac, are any videos embeded here on CP, gifs, things like that. Flash, and such don't run as well on the Mac as they do on the HP because it doesn't have the ram for it.
