And FWIW, the contract WAS front-loaded, where Cassel earns something like $41M over the first 3 years - essentially guaranteeing he'll be here for AT LEAST those 3 years.

http://www.arrowheadpride.com/2009/7...ssels-contract
so if he's cut in 2 years he earns about 28 million right? why would he essentially be guaranteed 3 years?

How am I moving the goalposts?

I was the first in this thread to link the idea of cutting him to his contract.

Quote:
Do you really think they'll cut him loose after 2 seasons if he's not performing?

I'd be shocked if he's here any less than 4.

People can say all we're on the hook for is the $30M guaranteed, but that's if we actually cut him loose.

If he's on the roster, he gets his salary. And like I said, I'd be shocked if they were to cut him before that contract expires - or at least until he got most of it.
If you can't see the implications there, you're a few brain cells lighter than I thought.

And I've shown my willingness to stand behind my claims with a bet - something you apparently aren't confident enough to do.

I'll wait.

if you cant see how you are moving the posts i cant help you. there's your first post on the subject. A.J. Feeley meets this criteria.

Why would i bet with you? He could play all world and you would still bitch. Remember he will only be a success here with multiple playoff wins, which by the way changed from multiple SB wins, in your opinion.

sorry man but i'm done with you

An Edwards/Bowe tandem would have looked good and would have made it one less thing the Chiefs would have to focus on this offseason.

Apparently the Chiefs are only interested in shopping in the "Toomer/Lelie/Bobby Wade" aisle. I think that is where the decaying meat is also located.

Do you read?

IF we cut him after the 2010 season, he'd get the $28M, plus what he already earned in base salary for each of the 2 seasons, plus any roster bonuses or incentives placed in the deal.

Which totals more than $28M.

You're moving the goal posts because Jason doesn't understand you're argument.

Did you even point out that Feeley was cut by a new regime that didn't trade for him?

Yea we need football players that are wrestlers, **** big play top 5 pick WR's cause they happen to drop the ball..

We don't want any elite WR's since they always lead in drops because of all their targets, **** Brandon Marshall too!
