Taking it to court implies he doesn't deserve it, or else what's the point? A warning could have accomplished the same thing, but that's a favor and shouldn't ever be expected, because you still broke the law. It's not on the cop to determine when he wants to give you a warning, because he never has to... and it was a school zone, maybe the cop thought he had no choice or maybe they never give warnings in school or construction zones. Sounds pretty logical why they wouldn't....

I don't want to take it to court. I just want it reduced so it will not appear as a speeding ticket on his record.
If anyone thinks that I want to fight it, that is not the case. He did it. He is guilty.
