I’m thinking about a possible move to Omaha from Atlanta. What are the pros and cons?

That's bullshit. Omaha is underrated and getting better all the time but to act like Omaha is KC's equal as an arts city or a food city is a heaping helping of horseshit.

But seriously, I've been here for 25 years and I love it here. The taxes blow ass, but that's because there's only like 6 people who live here so people get squeezed. It's pretty conservative, but I don't think it's overbearingly so.

I live in Papillion, I do recommend staying out of the city. The mayor is a ****ing idiot.

Omaha Rocks though. It's a good town.

I used to go up to Omaha a fair deal when I was living an hour and 40 minutes away from it (in Maryville). Its absolutely laughable to think that Omaha offers anything close to what Kansas City does. I say that as a person that likes Omaha.

The only drawback to Papillion is that it's so far south of everything else and there's no freeway serving the area. I have no idea what part of town you'll be working in but if it's going to be downtown or midtown you're going to have a rough commute.
