I’m thinking about a possible move to Omaha from Atlanta. What are the pros and cons?

Really? Did they build a new stadium? I went there back in the late 1990's I gotta say dude it was very crowded and I didn't really enjoy it. I guess i'm just used to Kaffmaun Stadium.

The 'blatt was crowded for a Royals game? The only time that place fills up is during the CWS and fireworks night.

Anyway, the City of Omaha is building a new downtown stadium for the CWS, and the Royals are building a new one in Sarpy Co.

Heh...don't get me started. The NCAA insisted on a 20K seat stadium for the CWS, and the Royals don't want to play in that big of a stadium and have always been butthurt that they get kicked out of the 'blatt for two weeks every June. There was simply no compromising between the two entities and the mayor caved to the NCAA, so now we're going to have a beautiful $130M downtown stadium that is going to be largely unused for 50 weeks out of the year, and another one out in the middle of a bunch of cornfields south of town.

I went to school at Creighton for awhile, so I do know what I'm talking about with Omaha (which my friends and I called "Ohmigod" because we wondered, "what the hell did we do wrong in our lives to end up here?"_

My sister lived in Omaha for years b/c her husband was stationed at Offut.

Omaha is a bloated small town whose residents act like small town people but they think they're a city. Hence they look down on "Iowegians" from Council Bluffs. And, they're obnoxious about the Cornhuskers. Its like they can't imagine anyone in Nebraska liking anyone else.

When people would ask my sister if she was a Cornhusker fan, she'd answer, "No, I'm a catholic".
