The Positive Thread

The Positive Thread

Let's focus on the good that came out of the draft.

Berry is a flat out stud. Nothing more to say.

McCluster has amazing game speed that will be very fun to watch on Sundays. He will be a threat to score from anywhere on the field.

Arenas is a winner, has excellent open-field tackling skills, and if the ball ends up in his hands he is a threat to take it the distance.

Asamoah is just a nasty lineman that will get the job done. He is the kind of guy that we cuss when he is on another team, but love because he is on our team.

Once again, let's keep it positive. If you want to vent, do it in one of the other 11tybillion threads.

I don't care about Mecca's input. He acts like a baby because we didn't get the exact players he wanted, and aren't the prototype players that his beloved USC brings in every single year. Basically unless you have a receiver that USC would carry your player is crap. Mecca needs to cool it and quit pouting about us drafting a few playmakers. We aren't going to rebuild this team in 1 day.

The only pick I don't like is McCluster. I don't get it. He doesn't really even have a position at the pro-level. I like that he can be our kick returner, but the guy doesn't even have amazing breakaway speed, he's just incredibly shifty, and that is because he's a midget. You can't out juke people at the NFL level like you can in college, unless you are Barry Sanders. Basically, he is Dante Hall w/out breakaway speed. So what.

This is my list too. Unfortunately we have only two picks, but we should trade next year's 4th rounder to get one of these guys. Norwood we might get in the 5th. Campbell and Thomas go in the 4th I think. Campbell could be a good RT.

I don't even think Mecca is a real Chiefs fan sometimes. He almost never has a positive thing to say about the team, and if he hates them that much he should be a Bills fan. I see our mistakes, and the dumb decisions we make, but I will also be the first one to cheer for our team when they make a great move or win a game.

Positive

Mecca is good at evaluation.

I will give you my input.

Bruce Campbell is a physical specimen that looks like he is cut out of stone. Good speed and a lot of potential, but he will take a few years to develop.

I am just replaying what all of the mocks and tv guys say. I have never watched him very closely in games, so I have no direct opinion.

It's not bad. But the guy is like 165 lbs. You would want your punt returner to have more breakway speed than that. He's one of the most agile players in the draft though, I'll give him that. If he can learn how to run a really good slot route then maybe he will be worth a sh*t. I just don't see why you would want to draft him that high in the 2nd round. He's a high situational player, that won't play the majority of snaps. Would you spend a good 2nd rounder on Dante Hall?

Cool. Any one else have an opinion on Bruce Campbell as our possible RT of the future? I have my own opinions, but I always like to fish for others and compare.
