I just want to win out and then we don't have to worry about it to be honest.

Easiest way to think of it is this: Our magic number is two. Any combination of Chiefs wins and Charger losses totaling give us the division...so one Chiefs win with a Charger loss does it...two Chiefs wins does it....two Chargers losses does it. Hopefully, Cincy can come up big next week and beat SD, and we can take care business against Tenn and put this thing away.

Mostly true, but if we lose two and SD loses two and Oakland wins out, then Oakland would win the division.

I think it is literally impossible for us to get a wild card at this point, so its AFC West champs and #3 or #4 seed, or bust. This was analyzed in other threads.

Yep. I'd say the best case and most likely scenerio is #1.

The good thing is, one down, 2 more to go. I like KC's chances at Arrowhead than being on the road, although being 3-5 on the road isn't too shabby by any means.

Did not factor in Oakland. Thank you for the correction.

2 games left and both at home, and if we don't make the playoffs it's completely on us.The prize is right in front of us and now it's time to see if this team is ready to step up and take it.No excuses.

That's how I see it. KC's in a very favorable position. Their last two games are at Arrowhead, which they are 6-0 as of the moment, although, some of the games from that 6-0 record wasn't a cake-walk by any means.

But we'll see what they're capable of though in the next two weeks.

I like it because either way we take it or leave it.There is no backing into the playoffs so to speak. We either win the AFCW and host a playoff game or we sit on the couch and watch another year.Won't have to listen to all of the trolls (fake ass KC fans) cry bout how we lucked into it.

Another nice thing is that, if we make it in, chances are we will be building on a three-game win streak. It would be nice to have that kind of momentum going into games where we'll most likely be the underdog.

That said, I'd be OK with San Diego dropping a game as well.

There are (essentially) none. It's not COMPLETELY impossible, but probably not worth hoping for.
