Not really. You give him a small window and he doesn't win the job definitively, you proceed like he had never stepped on the field.

He's still cheap and under contract, and has some experience under his belt. Nice backup.

If he fails this year, draft one of the guys in this years draft and let them fight it out. It's win win.

How is that a win/win?

I was just saying if Stanzi shows something just not enough to not draft a first rounder. However in that case just draft the first round guy and hand him the reigns. If Charles and MO come back healthy and we keep Bowe this offense could be pretty good. Add a couple more pieces in the draft and it's looking up.

Regardless of what Dick does. IF you have a chance to draft a legit 1st rd QB, You draft him and he starts from day one. You focus on him and his development.

There isnt much DICK can do this year to prevent this organization from drafting a 1st rd QB..

I can't stand this "Dick" shit. Dick is about the worst name a guy could have. What is so wrong with Ricky? Ricky Vaughn was a badass.

I like Dick Stanzi. Somethin about the way he just stood firm in the face of Baltimore's third string pressure and fired a laser downfield and ripped a new asshole in their daunting third string secondary. Screams future Super Bowls in my opinion. It was like that Peyton Manning commercial a few years back, where there's just crazy shit going on around Peyton, and he's looking...looking..looking downfield, and then comes the whisper..."CLARK!". Except replace Peyton with Dick Stanzi and replace "Clark" with "Tucker". They should remake that commercial. Time for a reboot, Motorola.

Your probably right and that's the way it probably should go. However seeing how high the fo was on Stanzi coming out, if he were to play and have some success I could see them going another direction.

Jenkins: B1G's lone Biletnikoff semifinalist
November, 14, 2011
By Adam Rittenberg

Illinois senior A.J. Jenkins is one of 10 semifinalists for the Biletnikoff Award, given to the nation's best wide receiver.

Although Illinois' offense has fallen apart in the past month, Jenkins deserves the recognition.

But so does Iowa's Marvin McNutt.

The Hawkeyes senior has a legitimate beef about being left off of this list. He has been brilliant all season for Iowa, recording 65 receptions for 1,089 yards and 10 touchdowns. Jenkins has 11 more receptions and 44 more receiving yards than McNutt, but McNutt and Northwestern's Jeremy Ebert both have three more touchdown receptions. McNutt on Saturday became Iowa's all-time leading receiver.

Ebert and Michigan State's B.J. Cunningham also are having great seasons, but McNutt got totally snubbed. He ranks 11th nationally in receiving yards (108.9 ypg), and his yards-per-catch average of 16.75 is fifth among the nation's top 25 receivers this year.

It's too bad.

Jenkins ranks eighth in receiving yards average (113.3 ypg) and 11th in receptions (7.6 per game). He has been Illinois' only weapon for much of the season.

Three finalists will be selected next week and the winner will be announced Dec. 8 during the Home Depot ESPNU College Football Awards Show.

I do like the Parcells way of drafting a qb. However when a guy is there that's obviously better but didn't do thos things I'd still pull the trigger.

I know this is a highlight reel, but he makes throws that I've never seen Cassel make and reeds defenses better than Cassel ever did.

Look at 4:04 mark. Cassel misses that guy standing wide open.

What Babb doesn't seem to understand is...Palko isn't gonna last. He'll either get absolutely embarrassed or Richardson will get him murdered. So unless we sign someone else to backup Palko, Stanzi is a heavy heavy candidate to play for the Kansas City Chiefs this season....Babb!
