Jared Gaither

Are you ****ing kidding me? Are you guys watching this right now? He's playing better than I've ever seen Richardson play. He's having a great game. There is no way in hell that he doesn't have a place on our starting line.

How can they **** this up? Haley & Pioli: **** YOU.

Thought this would make me feel a little better.....but it doesn't.

I can't believe they cut this guy. WTF were they thinking?

If Haley said that the Orton thing was a one play deal, then I agree with chiefscountry, he was lying to protect Palko.

Quote:
“We had a little plan, in addition to having him ready to play, if needed,” head coach Todd Haley said. “We weren’t making a quarterback change, so to speak. I want to strategically be careful about what I say. But I felt good about both guys being prepared to play and get the job done.”
Why else would he say that he has to be careful about what he says other than to protect Palko?

Dude, you think we shouldn't get a qb until we get a RT. You're not really in a position to be calling people out

You're right, he doesn't make a habit of throwing guys under the bus in press conferences. But, he has several times just not commented on the situation at all. I don't think he has ever come out and lied in a press conference to protect a player or anything. His comments on Cassel, etc, where he basically has just not commented aren't uncommon.

did you mean my remarks about Haley?

i just basically said he's the biggest piece of shit on this team, other than QB and RT.

Gaither and Richardson both suck. No great loss cutting Gaither. And Richardson probably won't be a Chief next year.

Yeah.

We certainly can't do both. Acquiring a QB and a tackle to protect your QB is impossible to do in one off-season.

What is with this ****ing site? Why is everything an exclusive decision?

You guys are stupid if you think franchise QB's don't need protection. If I have a franchise QB I don't want him taking 20 hits per game and get injured because we have the worst OT in the entire NFL.

Healthy franchise QB > Franchise QB on IR

"Franchise QB's" get rid of the ball quick and don't take 20 hits per game genius. Richardson is crap, but our QB's make the line look worse than it actually is.

I watched the packers last season.

Rogers got his face bashed in and overcame it. HE took loads of hits.

I've seen Montana get sacked 7 times in a half.

Shut up.

Good QB's take hits too. They're not immune. Not all guys move and throw quick like Drew Brees and not all are damn near immune to injury like Favre and Big ben. You don't let 300 pound men have a free shot at your most important player as often as possible just to prove how Barry Richardson is good enough. He's a liability and that's ESPECIALLY true if the QB is of value to the team.

exactly.

that's why i said "before we get a real QB" the RT spot needs to be upgraded.

with Cassel and Palko, A RT isn't that big of a deal, i mean if he would miss a block and get Palko knocked out, i'd send him a Thank You card because i wanna see how Stanzi plays before the season is over.
