Chiefs & Pats Ask to Talk W/McDaniels

Apparently the Chiefs and Patriots asked the Rams permission to talk to McDaniels according to Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post Dispatch.

Let the games begin.

Pioli should have known Cassel was a very rough work in progress. And that being said, should have made a significant effort to bring in a young QB to legitimately compete. He waited 3 years to do that, and even then, waited until the 5th round.

Well to be fair, easy schedule or not, Cassel had a good second year. That more than anything is what kept him as the starter, and kept the team from planing to replace him. People that are frustrated at Pioli for sticking with Cassel should be frustrated at the 2010 season. If Cassel had had a rough 2010 I think they would have looked to replace him by now.

Like him or not, dude has won 11 and 10 games in a season before. That will keep him employed in the NFL for awhile.

Smoke and mirrors. Dude averaged roughly 200 yards per game on 28 APG.

49er fans are going through the same thing. I'll bet they looked forward to dumping Alex Smith. Now, after going 13-3, there's no way they replace him, he's still mediocre, but he lead the team to a division title.

Its been said before around here, the 49ers this year are the 90's Chiefs. At some point Alex Smith will have to make a play in the playoffs and wont be able to make it.

Yeah but he had a really good TD to INT ratio, and they won. It bought him more time, and the fact he got hurt this season, even though he wasn't playing well, most likely will buy him another.

Look at Alex Smith. He threw for less than 200 yds a game, only threw 17 TDs, but you think the 49ers are going to replace him next year?

Heard on the Mike&Mike show speculation that if Manning leaves the Colts he would be a 49er.
Wouldn't that be a bitch? They could win 3 SBs if his neck holds up.
