Did you root for Jared Allen? Larry Johnson?

I know the answer is yes, which makes you a ****ing hypocrite.
Jared Allen is NOT any of those three guys. He made a shit mistake that's unfortunately too common that claims too many people. If I condemned everybody I knew engaged in that shit at some point I would have the world's longest shit list.

LJ and Big Ben were engaged in various forms of domestic violence, and Mike Vick... well let's not go there.

But you make a somewhat decent point -- did I not root for LJ when he burst through the Ravens defensive line for a 44 yard gain? Just like I do when I root for Matt Cassel when he nails Bowe on a slant?

Yes, yes I did.

But not all rooting is created equal.

Just like not all opposition to a particular player/team is equal.

There is a special satisfaction in me when we beat the Denver ****ing Broncos. And I'm also happy when we beat somebody like the Seahawks. But there is a very special sensation to seeing the Broncos go down.

But if that's the psychological rabbit hole we're going down, then we have to acknowledge that that feeling works both ways.

I'm happy when LJ rips off a big run, but it's a lot more satisfying when Dexter McCluster can pull it off because McCluster's a good ****ing person who has overcome a ton of limitations to pull that accomplishment off. There's an element of satisfaction to that that LJ can never match.

Your argument, from the start of this thread, has been that it doesn't matter one iota to you.

That's lowest common denominator bullshit, friend.
