Alex Smith Traded to Chiefs
Well, it looks like the deal is done.
https://twitter.com/intent/user?scre...w_p=tweetembed Jay Glazer @JayGlazer 49ers have completed a trade with the Chiefs for Alex Smith, tho can't be official til March 12. Chiefs really made a commitment to Smith Jay Glazer @JayGlazer Deal has been agreed upon between Chiefs and 49ers. Compensation unclear but I'm told again Chiefs have made a clear commitment to Smith. |

This is the Mike Vick acquisition all over for Reid, except he didn't give up picks for him.
Both aren't that good of throwers, they are both injury prone (Smith only started 16 games twice in 8 years) and they are overrated. This will not end well for Reid. Holy shit.

I hope when Rob Riggle dies he spends the rest of eternity using his teeth to pick up the tip of his shot off dick.

I disagree with your premise that he is a loser. I believe he is surrounded by a lot of losers. We're working on that.

If we draft Wilson in the 3rd I'll feel so much better, though us not being able to trade down from 1st overall will still sting.

Wilson ****ing sucks ass. I don't know why anyone believes he'll do shit in the NFL.
Bray is young, put on muscle and had a decent Combine. He's still a third rounder but does anyone believe the Chiefs will spend their 2nd and 3rd on QB's when they have so many holes to fill? I don't, unless free agency is insane. |

I'd also want to add that from my experience with Reid, he would not have been okay with this unless he really really did not like Geno Smith. I read that Glazer said Reid loved Alex Smith. For him to be okay with giving up two high draft picks, he wouldn't just need to love Alex Smith, he also must think Geno Smith is going to be a total stiff.
When Andy Reid first came to Philadelphia he said in his introductory press conference that his first goal is to solve the QB problem. I assume philosophically he had the same goal for the Chiefs. With the #1 overall pick, and Geno Smith his for the taking, he would have taken him if he really liked him. Reid knows how valuable a strong QB is. So right or wrong, I'm assuming Reid and Dorsey just see nothing in Geno Smith.

Just taking BPA and signing a vet FA QB and holding out for next year, while infinitely ****ing stupid, would also have been a far better decision than this.
