Alex Smith: Chief's aren't running a "Cookie-cutter" offense

Q? FO!

From NFLNetwork byline:

QB Alex Smith tells NFL Total Access that Chiefs aren't running "cookie-cutter" offense and it isn't the same as what coach Andy Reid ran with Eagles and Packers. Catch the entire interview tonight at 7PM ET on NFL Total Access.

Don't care about last year. Training camp starts for us today. It's 2013. New and much improved overall team.

Facts are still facts though. We have 1 SB (beating them) and they have nothing.

Got it.
The Chiefs were a top 15 yards and points defense two years straight before romeo took charge and everyone played lazy. Forget scheme, this team is going to play with a hell of a lot more energy and discipline than in 2012. And the talent is probably much better than what they had in 2011.

16 playoff appearances in 53 years! That sucks. Zero playoff wins since 1993. 20 years without a playoff win. The Vikings may not be the poster boy team for the NFL, but they sure don't set the suckfest record for inept NFL franchises the way your turd team does.

And people were crediting Romeo for our defensive improvement during those years.

This team didn't suck last year because of lack of effort. We lack talent up front, period.

You're banking on a coach Jets fans were happy to get rid of as making the difference this year using a bunch of crappy defensive linemen and questionable CBs.

Uh? Yeah sure, being more pressure constant as a defense, in no way going to lead to more pressure from your d line. Do you even understand what you said.....Of course the defensive line is going to get more pressure. They aren't going to be double teamed every play.....holy shit clay.

Did you even READ the entire article? If you scroll to the very bottom, it is clearly stating the difference between, 2011, AND 2012. Alex pretty much fixed all of those problems, including the dreaded knee lock he had.

His Mechanics at this point, are pretty much flawless as a qb goes.

No I'm not banking on it. Like I said, if Sutton knows the scheme. It's possible he is terrible. I like the scheme but a big wait and see on the coordinator.

But in terms of talent, we have solid enough talent with a few terrific players. And they absolutely did play lazy and undisciplined last year and it's because romeo is the worst motivational coach in the Nfl. He can coordinate, but he sure as shit can't get players to play.I can guarantee you at tthe very least that Hali, DJ, flowers, and hopefully berry look like completely different players and that will be less a credit to Reid and Sutton as it is an insult to romeo.

These guys can't beat blocks one on one. They showed that much last year. And DeVito is not a pass rusher.

I'm more concerned about the run defense because we have no one on our line like Pouha and I don't think Poe is the answer. If Poe and Jackson are getting pushed around, it's going to be a disaster.

why would Hali, DJ, Flowers and Berry look completely different? There is no where to go really for those guys, they are top players at their positions and they are all Pro Bowl caliber. There is no "difference" that they can get better or make. They are the model for consistent talent no matter who the coach is

if you say you wanna see a guy like Dontari Poe, Sean Smith, Tyson Jackson, Allen Bailey, Kendrick Lewis take the next step and look "completely" different, THEN its a credit to Reid and Sutton

but to take our only talent and household names and say, well if they play good this year its the coaches credit. Those guys have been playing good since they all entered the league no matter what shit coach or coordinators we have why would this year be any different.

Now that, I can agree with. But that hasn't been your argument. The run defense is something to be concerned about. The pass rush isn't in my opinion. They are going to get pressure on the qb. That much is certain. Personnel dictates that.

Math much?

Matt Cassel has played 5 seasons
Alex Smith has played 7 seasons

They were drafted the same year.
