If the Chiefs win a playoff game with Alex Smith, something they haven't accomplished in 20+ years, it will be worth the price the Chiefs paid.

If the Chiefs win multiple playoff games, it'll be more than worth the price. If they're in the Super Bowl, it'll have been a no brainer.

But to complain about it now, before he's even played a game or a season, it just plain dumb.

That's the way the tone of this board is. It's 4 chan lite at times, which gives it a lot of character.

If that offends you, then go post at Warpaint Illustrated. People there are much nicer to each other, they love whatever it is the Chiefs do, and are probably good with Alex Smith as their QB. Oh, and I'll bet you'll find a lot more posters who use "u" as shorthand.

I've seen Claynus bitching about Sutton. How in the **** can you bitch right now about this guy when you haven't seen a real game scheme?

Someone posted Alex has only had 1 playoff run. I posted Alex Smith was going to take the 49ers to the playoffs last year had he played out the string, basing that on 10 games of excellent performance. Thats a logical conclusion no? Does anyone dispute SF would have still gone to the playoffs? I cant see that.
I posted once they got to the playoffs, no telling what happens, especially considering 2011 and how close they came then. Again not an outlandish claim by any stretch of the imagination.

The response I got was he didn't finish the season and was traded to the Chiefs so that somehow disputes everything I said.

Who the **** was praising Daboll? There was maybe 2% of this board that was excited for him. Stop that bullshit hyperbole.

People have wanted an aggressive defense here for years. It's here now where they are going to get after people and people are excited for it with the talent this D has.
