I am not a big movie guy and have not even voted on any of these until the last couple of rounds. I also have to admit that I have not seen all of either of these franchises movies either although I am old enough that I saw the first SW movie in the theater while in high school.

Having put forth my lack of qualifications...

I voted MCU for really one reason only. I think they have done an amazing job of starting with separate character story lines and over time have dove tailed them into a single over-arching story line. At the same time most of them seem to stand alone as well. I can't think of any other series of movies that has done this.

By the same token, I think the biggest strength for SW in this poll series is the impact it had, especially the first releases, on American society. It became part of us over the years which I think is part of why people were so upset with the newer releases, they just did not stand up to the impact felt with the original three.

MCU is the movie franchise for low information voters, so you did the right thing.

The “Nooooooo!” Vader part that was added in Jedi and used in Sith might be the back breaker.

Simply one of the stupidest part of any movie I will ever see.

Marvel movies were built on the foundation that Star Wars forged.

There is no MCU without Star Wars.

Therefore....Star Wars.

MCU.

Star Wars has The Last Jedi. That trainwreck alone eliminates Star Wars.
