Bills/ Bengals [cancelled - process in OP]

In case anyone needs it spelled out, we would play at a neutral site if the AFCCG ends up being Chiefs vs. Bills. All other scenarios abide by the usual rules (so any other game the Chiefs play will be at home).

Breaking News: Of course the game is secondary to #DamarHamlin’s health, but #Bills insider @viccarucci just reported on @wgrz Daybreak that NFL commissioner Roger Goodell will make the call on rescheduling the Bills/Bengals game and it would have to be played within 2 days.

After speaking with both teams and NFLPA leadership, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell informed the clubs today that the Bills-Bengals game will not be resumed this week.

The NFL has made no decision regarding the possible resumption of the game at a later date.

Honestly what makes the most sense regarding this decision at this point is to wait until after Sunday. If KC wins and Buffalo loses then neutral site stuff is irrelevant.

Chiefs would much rather know exactly what they are playing for on Saturday. Decision needs to be made tomorrow.

Holding a meeting to “sort out the seeding issues” is stupid. The NFL has a method that was decided independently of which teams would benefit. Follow it. No brainer.

This would be self-evident if competitive fairness was the goal. It clearly isn't. Avoiding the perception of inequity against the Bills is.

Except they already know what they are playing for. Regardless of scenario they have to beat LV. This would have been no different had the Buffalo/Cincinnati game been played regardless of outcome.

True, but it's a shitty situation that has exactly dick to do with anything the Chiefs did. At the end of the day, two teams elected not to finish a game with massive playoff implications in the 17th week of the season. The consequences of that action, or more appropriately, inaction, should fall on one or both of them alone.

The game wasn't and won't be completed. Neither team won. So neither team should get any sort of credit for it, and their records should reflect that. Their choice, their problem. Not ours.
